This website is a project included in the thesis “Ethical guidelines for veterinary canine euthanasia: a veterinary decision-making tool guidance to pet owner requests” (2024) from USAMV veterinary university. An evaluation survey is available to any veterinary practitioner in the companion animal department specific to canine patients only.
With the aim of helping veterinarians in their daily encounters with euthanasia situations, this two-part questionnaire will guide the practitioner towards a fair and ethical choice of the patient's fate. The statistics thus obtained will serve as data targeting the most frequent euthanasia situations encountered, as well as the type of owner faced with these situations, but also the final choice of the veterinarian faced with the results and possibilities proposed by the questionnaire (in favor or against the questionnaire).
